Help us to improve the technology & tools used by our Engineers so that they can innovate and deliver faster results for our global customers! This role is an exciting growth opportunity for a DEVOPS Engineer in the IDS IT Classified Engineering Solutions and DevOps organization. Responsibility for this position include automating engineering tools, testing and integration of new engineering tools and operating systems, and their incorporation into the next generation of the DEVOPS pipeline. Provide tool installation and configuration support to one or more IDS programs.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Design and develop solutions to automate the installation and configuration of IBM and Atlassian engineering tools
  •  Research and provide recommendations on new toolchains, and develop migration strategies for their use
  •  Develop solutions for deploying toolchains in a standardized model in Cloud environments
  •  Support the automation and maintenance of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  •  Provide documentation of implemented environment by authoring procedures, work instructions and program profile documents
  •  Manage the release of upgrades and patches to the environment
  •  Monitor tool utilization, performance and stability

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other technical discipline

Desired Qualifications:

  •  Experience and/or understanding of the following:
  •  C, C++, C# or Java
  •  IBM Rational (ClearCase, DOORS, Rhapsody, Rational Team Concert)
  •  Perl and C Shell scripting
  •  Windows and Linux operating systems
  •  Atlassian tools (JIRA, Git, GitHub)
  •  Writing IaC (infrastructure as code) using Chef, Puppet or equivalent
  •  Code analysis tools such as Coverity
  •  Solid organizational skills
  •  Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  •  Proven analytical skills and the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex tool-set problems
